Stuff…Because as George Carlin once said, “We all have stuff.”

Well, it’s been 2 years since I made changes to my page!  I think it’s time for an update! Ya think, V!!??

The thing is what to write!  No, seriously!

Okay, so stuff….

Book Stuff…

The deal with The Wild Rose Press fell through.  Not to worry, though, I’m still working on finding the right house for my books.

I entered 4 contests last year and did well.  Slay Me Tonight placed 2nd in East Texas RWA’s Southern Heat Contest and I didn’t make the final cut in MARA’s Fiction from the Heartland Contest.  The comments were great and VERY encouraging.  Again, no worries!  All is good!

Writing Stuff…

Blood on White Rose is a work in progress.  Well, all of my books are a working progress!  Laughing…uh, not funny.  I started a thriller, Diamonds are Deadly and loving it!  That makes 6 books in the hopper and 1 finished MS.  Nora Roberts, how do you do it??!!  I’m referencing her ability to write more than one at a time.  OY!!  Just want to finish!

Slay Me Tonight is resting until I get back to revisions.  The suggestions from the panel judges were awesome.  A few tweaks and it will be out pounding the pavement for an agent or editor!  Did I mention I hate edits?  It could be awhile!!  Laughing…still not funny!!

Career Stuff…

Going for PRO status with RWA.  I meet all the necessary requirements:  a finished MS and a letter of rejection from an agent and a request for the full from a publisher.

Going to National in July!  YAY!!  Looking forward to my trip to Nashville!  This means I’m going to have to get off the stick, finish writing Blood on a White Rose, tackle revisions for Slay Me Tonight to pitch to an agent or publisher.

Going to the Beach Bound Retreat and Jumpstart Master Class with LRWA.

Okay, so I took a networking workshop and Facebook was one of the tools.  OY!!  Facebook is not easy!  I just don’t get it!  Playing around with creating a blog page.  Do I really have the time?  Hmm?  Too much stuff already.

I Broke My Knee Stuff…

How it happened.  I turned out the lights to go upstairs and I slipped, fell, and skidded into the corner of the stair riser.  It’s 2 o’clock in the morning, in excruciating pain, in the dark, and I am stuck.  I think I stayed in a fetal position trying to get my wits and figure out how I was going to get help.  Now I can laugh about the “I’ve fallen” situ but then I was cursing up a storm because DH couldn’t hear me.  The man can sleep through a bomb explosion.

That experience put a kibosh on a few events that I was looking forward to but, the good thing, yes, there is a good thing, I was waited on hand and foot for almost two months.  No cooking, cleaning, laundry, dog detail, picking up kids from school, grocery shopping.  Yes, it was nice!

However, I don’t recommend breaking limbs to get out of house stuff!

Volunteering Stuff…

I really do have to learn how to say NO.

September, I volunteered (yeah, like I needed another job full of responsibilities) for the Online Workshop Coordinator for LRWA.

I accepted an invitation to be the RWA Kiss of Death Lethal Ladies Critique Coordinator.  And yeah, same as above, but this job I don’t mind doing!  Love my critique group!

Enough with the Stuff already!

Well, that is it for now!  Take care and thanks for stopping by and reading My Stuff!

Cheers,
