I’m married to a wonderfully patient man, who is the love of my life, and truly is my Prince Charming!  He inspires my romance!  We are raising our two energetic teenagers in South Carolina.  I have three yappie dachshunds, which are dubbed ‘the booby-heads’.

My father’s drive to write his own novel gave me the courage to follow his lead.  My mother, who is my father’s anchor, is the sole inspiration for me to be a better person – always.  I love them both deeply.

Books are my passion.  I love to read!  Then one day I said the four magic words: “I can do this!” 

My new passion for writing began two years ago and has been going strong since.  I wrote my first romantic short story when I was twelve and I have no idea where it is, probably with my Nancy Drew books!

What or who inspired me to start writing?  Three people, my father, Roxanne St. Claire and Leanne Banks. 

Roxanne St. Claire is an awesome writer and a powerful speaker and I felt she was talking directly to me when she gave a speech at a luncheon for our local RWA chapter.  Can I say star struck!!  She is an absolute joy to meet in person and converse with on email!  She inspired me to write Slay Me Tonight and I began that night after I met her.  So for that, I’m truly grateful! 

Leanne Banks is another awe-inspiring writer and another powerful speaker I had the good fortune to hear at another chapter function.  She is a fabulous woman to meet!  After introductions, she asked about our projects.  I gave a small blurb about a scene in Slay Me Tonight, and she said, “Provocative”! 

At the time, she had no way of knowing I was in a funk and dealing with writer’s block and still floundering with my story.  But that one word was a tremendous boost to get me out of my funk and start writing again.  She inspired me to write my second book, Blood on a White Rose.  And for that, I’m truly grateful as well!

This journey has been a wonderful experience.  And I thank the Good Lord above.  He blessed me with a group of crit partners that are worth their weight in gold!  Truly!  They are awesome writers that I have come to love, admire, and respect.  Jane Greenhill, Daisy Banks, Denise Ray, Lisa Griffin, J.J.
